Meet Geoff

Wide Bay local and crane driver, Geoff Williams is running to give Wide Bay a voice in Government in a region too long taken for granted by the LNP.

A boilermaker by trade before becoming a crane driver, he has worked across industries including manufacturing and construction giving him firsthand experience of the increasing casualisation of our workforce.

Seeing the Morrison Government’s lack of action on workforce casualisation, even as the vulnerability of these workers has been exposed more than ever during the Covid pandemic has motivated Geoff to run for parliament.

For too long LNP have failed to deliver for the Wide Bay Community.

As a candidate for both the 2020 State Election and the upcoming Federal Election, Geoff has travelled across Wide Bay and listened to the people he intends to represent. They have said they want better secure jobs, better access to healthcare and a better future for their kids.

Geoff is ready to fight for an Albanese Labor Government that’s committed to investing in a strong local manufacturing sector and to supporting local industries with secure fulltime jobs.

Only an Albanese Labor Government will strengthen Medicare, protect our hospitals, fix aged care and support pensioners.

A vote for Geoff will deliver cheaper child care, fix the fundamentals of our schools, create 465,000 free TAFE places and up to 20,000 University places to address current skills shortages and fill future skills needs.
